VISCHER at the UN WIF in Abu Dhabi

Angelina Rau from the Life Sciences Team, former CEO and current Board Member of Swiss Healthcare Startups, was invited to the 2023 UNCTAD World Investment Forum in Abu Dhabu this year which hosted over 7000 attendees from all over the world. She sat on the panel "Entrepreneurship and Innovation in the New Health Economy", and contributed her expertise on the innovation ecosystem in the healthcare sector and in particular the Swiss perspective on the topic.

In the past, Angelina Rau helped to draft the UN report on the topic (which bears the same name as the panel) contributing valuable input from the Swiss health ecosystem.

Angelina Rau contributed to the panel on the following specific issues:

• The need to develop an adapted business model for digital solutions to penetrate the healthcare market
• Financing opportunities for innovative solutions in the healthcare market
• Role of cross-sectoral and sectoral innovation legislation in new technologies
• Recommendations for the integration of a learning health system
