Luzius Zumstein

Luzius Zumstein is co-head of our Startup Desk. He advises innovative entrepreneurs, companies and their investors, providing pragmatic, client-focused solutions. Startups rely on his expertise in all key corporate and commercial legal matters, from company formation to exit. He is particularly experienced in supporting clients in the negotiation of licensing, development, and contract manufacturing agreements, financing rounds, and mergers & acquisitions. His sector focuses include Life Sciences, Cleantech, and Deeptech. Luzius' Law & Economics background (University of St. Gallen) and studies at the London School of Business & Finance allow him to deliver commercially-focused legal advice, guiding clients through complex legal challenges without losing sight of their business needs.

Recently, Luzius has worked on the following matters, among others:

• Incorporation and early guidance of numerous startups, including on convertible loans.

• Large financing rounds, including those of Mosanna Thereapeutics, Granite Bio, and SkyCell.

• Negotiation of a license and collaboration agreement between a startup and a large pharmaceutical firm.

In his free time, Luzius' enjoys hiking, cooking and occasional scuba diving.
