Dr. Tobias F. Rohner is a partner in VISCHER's Zurich office and co-head of the tax team.
Tobias F. Rohner has more than 20 years of experience as a lawyer with a focus on tax law. He is active both in an advisory and litigation capacity.
His clients include international and domestic corporations, start-ups, fund and trust structures, and high net worth individuals. He advises them in connection with immigrations, business development, implementation of employee benefit plans, restructurings, mergers and acquisitions, financing transactions, tax audits and succession planning. He also regularly represents clients before governmental authorities and courts in contentious tax matters.
He has particular industry expertise in the banking and finance, life sciences, metals and private equity industries.
He is a long-standing lecturer in tax law at the University of Zurich and the Zurich University of Applied Sciences (ZHAW) and is in high demand as a speaker at national and international conferences.
In addition, he regularly serves as a substitute judge at the Zurich Tax Appeals Court.
He has already published more than 70 articles, book contributions and monographs in the field of taxation, is co-editor of the tax journal "Zürcher Steuerpraxis" and is co-author and co-editor of the commentary on the Zurich Tax Law as well as the hand commentary on the Federal Direct Tax Act, two standard works in the tax world.
