On 28 December 2023, Danstar Ferment AG, a Swiss subsidiary of Canadian multi-national, Lallemand Inc., has successfully completed the acquisition of Swiss based Evolva AG, subsidiary of SIX listed Evolva Holding SA. The transaction was approved by the Extraordinary General Meeting of Shareholders of Evolva Holding SA on 21 December 2023. Lallemand is a privately owned company headquartered in Canada focused on the development, production, and marketing of yeasts, bacteria, fungi and enzyme solutions across the baking, food ingredients, human and animal nutrition and health, crop protection/nutrition, oenology, brewing, alcohol and biofuel sectors. It has more than 5,000 employees across all continents. The acquisition of Evolva deepens Lallemand’s Swiss R&D presence and capabilities and expands Lallemand’s yeast derivatives portfolio.
