Rolf Auf der Maur sits on the board of the Gottfried Honegger Foundation for art education teaching aids in Zurich. This foundation focuses on the development and dissemination of art education teaching aids in Switzerland and abroad and on equipping institutions for educationally disadvantaged children and youth with art education teaching materials.
Since 1996 Sebastian Burckhardt has been a member, and since 2006 Vice President, of the Board of the Foundation for the Deaf and speech therapy school Riehen and Wielandschule Arlesheim / Bottmingen. This is a private foundation advising young people with communication disabilities as well as supporting and training them in three schools in north-western Switzerland.
Felix W. Egli has been a member of the board of the "Mission 21 - evangelical mission of Basel" www.mission-21.org from 2012 - 2017. The supporting associations of Mission 21 are the Basel Mission, the Evangelical Mission in the Kwango and the Moravian Mission. Mission 21 sees itself as a community of churches and organizations that connects people from different cultures and countries. The cornerstones of the commitment of mission 21 are theological and cultural exchange as well as projects in development cooperation within fields such as poverty alleviation, health care, women and gender, education, and the advancement of peace. Mission 21 is a partner of the Federation of Swiss Protestant Churches (SEK) and the Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation (SDC).
Thomas Gelzer has served since 2001 on the Board of the Christoph Merian Foundation www.merianstiftung.ch, which advocates for people in need, for a healthy environment and for quality of life and culture in Basel. He is also president of the Sur-la-Croix Foundation www.fondation-sur-la-croix.ch, which campaigns for an ecological and economically sustainable agriculture and promotes relevant projects. Thomas Gelzer also chairs the Joseph and Olga Tomcsik Foundation, Basel, and serves on the board of the Theater Festival Basel Association.
David Jenny is president of the Board of the Fund for Advancement of Teaching and Research of the Voluntary Academic Society of Basel (www.FAG-basel.ch). He sits on the Board Committee of the Home Care Organisation of Basel www.spitexbasel.ch and is a member of the board of the Association of Basel Foundations www.stiftungsstadt-basel.ch. He is also Chairman of the Managing Committee of the Swiss Scout Foundation www.pfadistiftung.ch and member of the Board of the European Scout Foundation.
Since 2013 James A. Nickovich is a member of the board of California Poets in the Schools. CPITS is one of the nation’s largest literary artists-in-schools programs, cultivating children’s creativity through poetry writing & performance.
Michael Pfeifer is Secretary on the Board of the Basel Museum Voluntary Association and a member of the Board of the Maurice E. Müller Foundation.

Conservation International is an American non-profit organization that promotes the responsible and sustainable use of nature www.conservation.org.
