Christoph Pestalozzi is a senior partner in the dispute resolution team and heads its international commercial arbitration group. His main professional focus for more than 20 years has been on international arbitration. He is very active in institutional arbitration (including the ICC in Paris, the Swiss Chambers of Commerce in Zurich and Geneva (Swiss Rules) and the VIAC in Vienna) and in ad-hoc arbitration proceedings. He has handled around 100 arbitration proceedings in Europe as chairman, co-arbitrator and sole arbitrator and is a member of various prestigious international arbitration organisations. Christoph Pestalozzi also acts as counsel for Swiss and foreign companies, private individuals and foreign states before international arbitration tribunals and national courts, especially in the area of commercial, contract and insolvency law. In addition, he has vast practical experience with private clients and as a board member in the banking and pharmaceutical sector, and chairs a major non-profit organisation in Zurich (pro bono).

Beatrice Wagner Pfeifer is Titularprofessor for public law, in particular environmental law, at the University of Basel. At VISCHER she is legal counsel both in an advising and forensic capacity in questions such as prior encumbrances, environmentally compatible examinations, water conservation requirements, chemicals etc. Beatrice Wagner Pfeifer is a board member of the Swiss Association of Environmental Law and Vice-President of the Federal Expropriations Commission responsible for the Canton of Basel-City. She wrote her habilitation on genetically changed organisms and published a textbook in two volumes about environmental law. In addition she regularly publishes in technical magazines relating to questions of environmental and expropriation law.
