Beatrice Wagner Pfeifer is titularprofessor of public law, in specialising environmental law, at the University of Basel. At VISCHER she is legal counsel both in an advising and forensic capacity on issues such as prior encumbrances, environmentally compatible examinations, water conservation requirements and chemicals. Beatrice is a board member of the Swiss Association of Environmental Law and Vice-President of the Federal Expropriations Commission responsible for the Canton of Basel-City. She wrote her habilitation thesis on genetically changed organisms and published a two volume textbook on environmental law. In addition she regularly publishes in technical magazines on environmental and expropriation law issues.

Before joining VISCHER as a Counsel, Fan also advised as a sole practitioner (and continues to advise as a sole practitioner apart from VISCHER) Chinese individuals on Swiss law, Swiss PME on direct investments in China and Chinese on the establishment of domiciliary companies in Switzerland. Previously she had worked for one of the world's largest multinational audit firms in Zurich advising Swiss PME on direct investments in China and for an international Swiss law firm advising on corporate and commercial law in China related matters. Fan is the first and so far only native Chinese admitted to the Zurich Bar.

Christian Wyss advises clients from the life sciences and IT industries on licensing, research collaborations and transactions. He regularly supports companies in financing, acquisitions and joint ventures. Christian has particular experience in contract manufacturing and technology transfer, distribution agreements, clinical trials, transition services agreements, coordination of multi-jurisdictional due diligence as well as the implementation of Swiss data protection compliance in international companies.
Christian recently advised Saba Software, Inc. on the acquisition of a Swiss-based international information technology company. He was part of the VISCHER team advising Hannover Finanz on the acquisition of the hardware business from Kofax plc. Christian also acted as Swiss Counsel to IK Investment Partners in the acquisition of Hansa Metallwerke AG and its Swiss subsidiary KWC AG from private investors.
